Don BurtisDon Burtis solves problems. He is the guy that cut through four years of meaningless attempts by others to negotiate a multi-million dollar contract - and he got all issues resolved in four months. He is the guy that put a major aircraft unveiling back on schedule after a key supplier fumbled. He is the guy who negotiated intellectual property contracts for companies owned by some of the world's wealthiest individuals. He is the guy that provided electronics and electrical system architecture and design for industries as diverse as banking and aviation. And he is the guy that has provided engineering management for start-ups that weren't sure how to get their great idea off the ground. When Microsoft couldn't get their first hardware product working, they called Don.

Burtis Group was founded by Don, who was the lead program manager for the Titan Aerospace high altitude, long endurance unmanned aircraft at Alphabet, Inc. (Google). Don staffed and managed a group of program managers who worked with the Titan engineers to define, schedule, and allocate resources for the aircraft development and testing. Prior to that Don was Senior Vice President, Senior Fellow at Eclipse Aviation. During his seven years at Eclipse, he created and staffed the Avionics and Electrical Engineering Group, oversaw the architecture and system design of the avionics and electrical system on the Eclipse 500 aircraft and the supporting aircraft data center to process and store data from each Eclipse aircraft. But perhaps his largest contribution was solving supplier problems such as the fumble and the wayward contract mentioned above. Prior endeavors included many years creating hardware and software products for the banking industry, personal computers, satellite payloads, and a nuclear electronics test instrument (DB2 Random Pulse Generator) that has been continuously on the market for more than 50 years.

During his lenthy career, Don realized that experience gained in diverse areas could help other companies with their organization, product planning, even if needeed helping their legal teams focus on winning strategies. Don has years of experience in leading contract negotiations for tech products containing intellectual property and providing strategy guidance and technology roadmaps*.
